Guest Book

Cousin Katrina, may God keep you and our family in His arms during this difficult time. As a child my Uncle Red would ride over on his motorcycle and hand me a $5 or $10 to spend at the ice cream truck or Starvin Marvin. Later, he took pride in his service to West Hunter Baptist Church and said he had the keys to the kingdom. Uncle Red well done good and faithful servant. With love your niece, Santanya 'Tanya" Mahoney

My dear cousins. Red was always an important part of my life growing up. I would go to the store on McDaniel Street and just sit and talk to him. He and my father (Otis) were very close and they loved each other very much. Katrina I love you very much and you and the family are in my thought during this time. Even though we are separated by distance, know that our love is strong. Fruggy and I talk about y'all and how we are working on our family tree. I will be in touch more and we love you so much. Dee-Dee and family! Sharon Teasley Debose John Debose Shakira Teasley

Deepest sympathy to Katrina and the rest of the family. My mornings will not be the same. Earnest would call me or I would call him every morning. Earnest and I have known each other most of our lives. Over the years we lost contact until Earnest showed up at West Hunter Street Baptist Church one day. We reconnected and were close from that point own. Earnest loved West Hunter and all the members loved him. Any time I catered an event I called on Earnest because I knew that I had someone that I could depend on. Sometimes we would call each other and talk for hours, going down memory lane talking about our days living throughout Pittsburgh and Mechanicsville, in south Atlanta. During this pandemic we only saw each other a couple of times but made sure we stayed connected by phone. I will truly miss my buddy but will cherish the memories forever. Robert Nash
