Obituary For Minnie Lou Hinton

Mrs. Minnie Lou Hinton was born on March 15, 1947 in Waverly Hall, Georgia to the late Frank and Daisy Burt. She entered into eternal rest on March 3, 2021. Minnie leaves one sister: Marie White; two brothers: Frank Burt Jr. and Clifford (Michelle) Burt; and one half-brother: Charles H. Terry. She is preceded in death by two brothers: Larry Burt and Jerome Burt.

Minnie Lou was educated in Harris County, Georgia. She worked for over 35 years for Goody’s in Manchester, GA. She joined St. John-Pitts CME Church at an early age. She was known as a loving person. She was a true caretaker to not only her late mother, father and brothers; but to her her siblings, children, and grandchildren. She was devoted to her family. She enjoyed cooking and talking on the phone. Minnie Lou was a woman who remained strong in her faith; her favorite song was “Amazing Grace”.

Minnie was joined in holy matrimony to the late James Hinton in 1967. To this union three children were born: Lacynthia (Jimmy) King, Kevin “Jamie” Hinton and Candice Mobley all of Waverly Hall, GA. She leaves to cherish precious memories five grandchildren: Dominique Hinton, Marcus Hinton, Andre Mobley, Trinetta Worth and Brayden Hinton. She leaves five aunts: Mariah Jones, Mattie Mae Willis, Annie Willis, Janie Harris, and Rosetta Chaney. Her nieces and nephews include Tonya Burt, Hannah Williams, Stephanie Williams, Denise (Ricky) McKee, Teena Walton, Tremayne (Jacinta) Walton, Aaron (Pamela) Walton, Quinyatta (Marquintis) Willis-Holloway, Shawaan White, Graham White, Tamiya White and Janice White.. She leaves a host of other great nieces, great nephews, relatives that held her near including her closest friends: Mary Jean Terry, Linda Blue, Margaret Porter, Mamie Terry and James Denson.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Terry Family Funeral Home LLC - Hamilton from 3pm-7pm

Graveside Service: March 10, 2021 at Salem Primitive Baptist Church Tuck Person Highway Talbotton, GA. at 1pm. Face coverings and social distancing will be enforced.

My sincere condolences to Minnie Lou's Family. May the Holy Spirit comfort you each day. Just know the Holy Spirit will never leave you. I have known Minnie for many many years and she was always a friendly,nice and wonderful individual! Just remember when you began to feel sad or lonely listening to your heart, she is there, as long as your heart is beating she is there!
