Obituary For Sister Elana Thomas

Ms. Elana Thomas of Sneads, Florida entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 1, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was 72 years old.

A native of Jackson County, she was of the Baptist faith and a member of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church. She was a God fearing woman and was active in the church and community. She enjoyed ministering to others in the community through kind words and or deeds. She was truly be missed by many.

She leaves treasured memories with one son, Eddie D. Lovett, II and wife Susan of Raleigh, North Carolina; one brother, Jimmy Walker of Oxen Hill, Maryland; two grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A public viewing will be held Saturday, March 13th from 3-6p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel.

A homegoing celebration will be held Sunday, March 14th at 2p.m. at St. Peter Community Cemetery in Sneads, with Rev. Adrian Abner officiating. Interment will follow with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.

My heart is broken however i know she is with the Lord. I'm Praying for Dino, her brother Jimmy & family as they walk through this heartfelt time. I have fond memories of Evangelist Elana Thomas for she was my sister & a loyal friend. She was a strong woman with great faith, a prayer warrior & she knew the word of God & was an encourager & teacher to many. I will miss our phone calls & visits with her when she lived on Retha Lane.
