Obituary For Mary Ella Leshaw

Mary Ella Rosborough-Leshaw 68 of Odessa, TX formerly of Mt. Pleasant, TX died Tuesday May 2, 2017 in Odessa, TX. Services will be held Saturday May 13, 2017 at 1 p.m. at White Oak Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, TX: with Rev. C.J. Shelton officiating and Rev. D.C. Brown pastor. Interment will follow at Piney Cemetery.

Mary Ella Leshaw was born in Mount Pleasant, Texas on May 29, 1948 to the union of C.E. and Marie Rosborough. She was the oldest of 5 children. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1966. Mary went on to East Texas State University to focus on her love of education. During her time there, she met the love of her life, her future husband Charles Leshaw. Charles and Mary were united in Holy Matrimony on March 27, 1971 and to this union three children were born. Stacey Leshaw, Christopher Leshaw, and Kimberly Leshaw-Price. In addition to raising her children and being a grandmother, Mary dedicated her career in the Ector County Independent School District to helping mentally handicapped children for over 30 years. She enjoyed attending church, making crafts, baking and spending time with her children and grandchildren who affectionately called her “Mimi”. Mary Ella Leshaw (aka Sharon Kay) of Odessa, Texas entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister (Leslie Hardmon). She is survived by her husband of 46 years Charles LeShaw, sons Stacey (Sherita) and Christopher (Valontina) of Odessa, TX and daughter, Kimberly (Craig) Price of Houston, TX; brothers, Billy Ray Rosborough and C.E. Rosborough and sister, Billie (Mel) Ivory of Mount Pleasant, TX; and aunt Sally Brown of Mount Pleasant, TX; uncle Clifford (Mary) Craddock of DeSoto, TX; six grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
