Mr. James P. Steward Jr., a resident of Montgomery, AL expired March 7, 2021. Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 12:00 noon from Weeping Mary Cemetery, Ramer, AL. James P. Stewart Jr. was born on June 20, 1954 in Montgomery, AL to the (late) James P. Stewart and Virgie Mae Stewart. He was one of nine children. Not long after receiving his diploma from Job Corp, James enlisted in the United States Military Army division in 1973. He proudly served his country for 16 years and was Honorably Discharged. James was blessed with three children and one grandchild. He loved his family and always enjoyed spending time with them. He found joy in the simple pleasures; from attending family fish fries to cheering on his favorite football team (Roll Tide). James was a kind and generous man, whose attire was always sharp. He was a faithful deacon at King Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Brother Stewart was also a faithful member of the Free and Accepted Masons. James leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Ms. Virgie Mae Stewart; daughters, Amelia Stewart and Sherise Stewart; his son, James P. Stewart III; his grandson, Jason Ward Jr.,; his siblings, Bettie (Sam) Blake, Clarence Stewart, Shirley Stewart, Brenda McCall, Cynthia Stewart, Janice Johnson, Vickie Stewart, and Daryl Stewart; a host of nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and his friends.
