Vernal Dixon Obituary Vernal Dixon affectionally called “Pops” and “Papa” was born July 101941 in St. Andrew, Jamaica to the late Lucilda Barnett and the late Bresford Dixon. He was the second child. He migrated to Bermuda in 1967, Then he migrated to the United States of America in 1974. He worked with his brother’s at St. Andrew Flooring Company for many years. On February 25, 2001 Vernal Dixon became a member of faith Breathes Faith Pentecostal Church Of God. He was a loving father, Uncle, Brother and friend. He loved to walk, anytime someone asked him if he wants a ride he said no “I’m going to walk”. He was very quiet man; humble and never use to make trouble. All his nurses at the nursing home loved him, they use to call him their husband. Anytime he spoke to people that made trouble he said “yuh a piece of work”. His favorite saying was “tek wey yuhself”. He loved to laugh and give jokes. He loved cooking and cleaning. Vernal became very ill and started dialysis treatment. He later moved to Kings Harbor Nursing Home on February 13, 2019; he went to Einstein Hospital where the Lord called Vernal home on February 20, 2021. Pops leaves to cherish his loving memories; he is survived by his 2 children Radcliff Dixon and Ann Dixon that resides in Canada. His sister Valda Payne, His 4 Brother Gilbert Tait, Steadman Tait, George Tait and Isiah Tait and a host of nieces, nephews and friends Pops will be deeply missed by all who know him.
