Obituary Annie Bell Walker Kizzie Cypress was born May 13, 1928 in Mecklenburg County, VA to the late Alice and Roland Walker. She answered the call of her Lord and departed life serenely at the Hundley Center, South Hill, VA on Saturday, March 6, 2021. She was also preceded in death by a son- Jerry Leon Kizzie; step-children- Isaac and Jerry Cypress and Joan Macklin; her siblings- St. Louis Walker, Willard Walker, Mary Stigall, Sarah Lee, Lucille Coleman, Elsie Garnes, Lynn Walker, Mozelle Walker, and Shirley Walker.

At an early age she was baptized and joined St. Stephens RZUA Church and was educated in the Mecklenburg public school system. In her younger years, she lived and worked in New York. She also worked in South Hill at the Horseshoe Restaurant and the old South Hill bus station. She was feisty and spoke her mind, whether you wanted to hear it or not. She said what she meant, and meant what she said.

She leaves to mourn her three daughters, Barbara Baskerville, LaCrosse, VA; Thelma Stigall, South Hill, VA; and Zelma (Walter) Smith of South Hill, VA; four step-children- Milton, Larry, Mary, and Barbara Jean Cypress; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; devoted niece- Carol Reese, Chesterfield, VA; devoted cousins- Earl Mabry and Sylvia Garnes, South Hill, VA; devoted friend- Trinia Davis, Boydton, VA, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

I pray you rest in peace. You are no longer suffering and I know your daughter Thelma did everything she could to keep you happy until the end. I saw her every single day going to work and coming straight home to make sure you were ok.I pray to see you again my neighbor and old friend, God bless the family and I will keep you all in my prayers.
