Mrs. Joyce Tillman Pryor, Cooper Road, Wadley, GA departed this life, Thursday, March 11, 2021 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Tarver Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Bartow, GA. Public viewing will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Joyce was born in Bartow, GA to the parentage of the late Beauford and Queen Ester Gilmore Tillman. She was a dedicated member of Tarver Grove Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess, Missionary Board and Choir. Joyce dedicated her life to feeding the poor and caring for the sick and shut in. She worked for the Jefferson County Board of Education at Carver Elementary from 1973 to 2007 and during the summer at Feed A Kid. She is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Linda Tillman. Survivors include her husband of forty six years, Johnny Lee Pryor, Wadley, GA; one daughter, Shelia Tillman, Louisville, GA; step daughters, Earnestine Pryor and Sylvia (James) Thompson, Wadley, GA; one granddaughter that she reared as her own, Deidra Tillman, Louisville, GA; her siblings, Odessa (Willie James) Bostic, Davisboro, GA, Mildred Wicker, Florence Hicks, Judy (Walter) Tarver, Annie Lois (Leroy) Richardson, Janice (Paul) Brinson, Brenda (Walter) Reynolds, Kenneth Gilmore, Artis Tillman, Bartow, GA; four step grandchildren; aunt and uncle, Ethel Powell Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
