SSG (Ret.) Phillip Michael Shanklin, 69, of Radcliff, KY died on March 12, 2021 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.
Mr. Shanklin was a native of Elkton, KY and the son of the late Gilbert and Pauline Shanklin. He was a member of Little Union Baptist Church and retired from the U. S. Army. Mr. Shanklin was a member of the Radcliff Pinochle Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Joe Shanklin; two sisters, Cynthia Shanklin and Dora Mosley.
Survivors include his wife, Veverly Shanklin of RadclifF, KY; one daughter, Aisha M. Shanklin of Radcliff, KY; three sisters, Debra Sivils of Hopkinsville, KY, Arnita Civils (Perry) of Buffalo, NY and Juanita Shanklin of Buffalo, NY; his father-in-law, Raphael Thompson, Sr (Gerlieve); two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Percell & Sons Funeral Home. Burial with military rites will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, March 22, 2021 also at Percell & Sons Funeral Home.
