Obituary For Alisha Surratt

Ms. Alisha Shanta Surratt, 37 of 2116 Green Oak Drive Shelby, NC passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby. She was born on April 7, 1983 in Cleveland County, NC to Edward Surratt and to the late Frances Clark Surratt.

Alisha was a graduate of Burns High School. She was formerly employed with Cleveland Pines Nursing Center and Carrillion Assisted Living where she enjoyed taking care of people until her own health declined. She loved doing hair and she loved celebrating family.

In addition to her grandparents, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ada Pound and Richard Clark and her paternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Surratt; two aunts, Corine Clark Lee and Mary Clark Stewart and four uncles, Randy Surratt, Richard Surratt, Bobby Surratt and Richard Clark, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her father, Edward Surratt of Shelby; two sons, Tyshun Bell and Demorreay Surratt both of Shelby; an “adopted daughter”, Kendreana Lee; one brother, Antonius Surratt; two sisters, Audra Surratt and Shawanna Surratt all of Shelby; two grandchildren, Kynslie Bell and Tyquese Bell; nieces and nephews, Tammer Surratt, Tandra Surratt, Sandtonyo Brooks, Zavious Stroud, Rondrekous Stroud, Shamariah Wells, John Lee Peeler, Travis Surratt, Carolyn Mintz, Melicia Peeler, Aranina Surratt and Antonius Duncan; a special cousin, Angela Moses; special friends, Tanisha England and Ricardo Thurman and a host of great-nieces, and nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service for Ms. Surratt will be private.
