Lonnie Cohen Lewis, Jr. was born on December 19, 1949 to the late Lonnie and Mozzella Lewis. He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Howard Lewis, Sammie Lewis, and Robert Lewis Sr. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. at Faith Memorial C.M.E. Churchyard. Burial will be held in Ebenezer Cemetery. Public viewing will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home. He was the owner and operator of Lonnie C. Lewis Pinestraw. He was a lifelong member of Ebenezer/Faith Memorial CME Church. He was Honorary Trustee, Member of Layarty, and Pastor’s Aide. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and all who knew him. He passed away on March 13, 2021. He is survived by his children Mozell (Brent) Lavatt Lewis-Futrell of Baton Rouge, LA, Deanna (Oscar) Woods of Lexington KY, Shafonda Broomfield of Louisville, GA, Virgil V. Lewis Sr. of Warner Robins, GA, Marcus (Terry) Lewis of Riverview, FL, step kids Shontavius (Alex) Tarver of Sandersville, GA, Lakendra Chennelle (Eric) McGowan of Hickam Air Force Base, HI, Kenneth Peacock Jr., of Statesboro, GA, and Jordana (Keith) McNear of Swainsboro GA, and special son Tyrone Evans (Bubba). He is also survived by six siblings, Clifford Lewis of Miami, FL, Danny Lewis of Augusta, GA, Bernice Lewis of Martinez, GA, Bonnett McCall of Douglasville, GA, Gladys Walker, of Columbus, GA, Lillie Mae Lewis of Miami, FL, three aunts, Rosa Mae Brown of Wadley, GA, Mary Brown Bell of Louisville, GA, and Eunice Devero, of Louisville, GA; Brother-in-law and sister-in-law,: Catherine Lewis of Augusta, GA,; 14 grandkids Yasmin Strawder, Oscar Woods Jr., Lola Woods, Mya Woods, Michael Woods, TyTiona Holliday, Ronny Holliday, Alyse Holliday, Jadon Holliday, Virgil V. Lewis Jr. (VJ), Tyra Pasion, Mariah Lewis, Taraji Lewis, Marcus Lewis Jr. (MJ), and three step grandkids, Addison (Ma Ma) Herrington, Jadyn Peacock, Ashton Tarver; three Great grandkids Nylah Strawder, Zya Strawder, and Sanaya Strawder; several nieces and nephews.
