The Obituary

Mrs. Emma Lee Smith was born on May 12, 1948 to Mattie Johnson and Mr. Willie Roscoe Singletary in Pavo, Georgia. She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Larry Smith. She was a dedicated housewife. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend that will be dearly missed.

She passed from this earthly life on March 14, 2021. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Larry Smith, Quitman, GA; four children, Stephen Johnson (Lavern), Quitman, GA, Derrick Johnson (Jolinea), Orlando, FL, Brenda Arnold (Louis), Quitman, GA, Michelle Johnson, Daytona, FL; brothers, Charles Singletary (Lois), Thomasville, GA, Robert Singletary (Vern), Moultrie, GA, Roscoe Singletary, Atlanta, GA; sister, Grass Lee, New Jersey; loving sister/best friend Naomia Oliver, Waycross, GA, JoAnn Rafford, Quitman, GA; eleven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and loving friends.

A celebration of life will be Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 2PM at North End Cemetery with Brother Orr, eulogist. Visitation will be Saturday at the Stevens-McGhee Chapel from 3PM-7PM. Visit this website or our Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home Facebook page to view a livestream of the celebration.
