Calvin Thompson was born on March 8, 1960 in Lakeland, Georgia. He graduated from Berrien High School in 1978 in Nashville, Georgia.

He departed this life on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at South Georgia Hospice House in Valdosta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father Daniel Thompson Jr. his mother Beverly Jean Williams and Grandmother Corine Sampson. He leaves to cherish his memories two sisters Jacqueline Rainey of Ray City, GA and Cheryl (John) Thomas of Valdosta, GA; one brother Daniels Thompson Jr. of Lakeland, GA; four nieces Cotricia Thompson of Albany, GA, Pamela Bryant of Valdosta, GA, Leleat Thomas of Valdosta, GA and Monique Rainey of Fayetteville, NC; one nephew Anthony Thomas of Valdosta, GA; five great nieces Nylia, Alaydria, Makyiah, Meleah and Kaylan and a host of cousins and friends. Graveside service for Mr. Calvin Thompson will be held Saturday, March 27, at 2:00 P M at the Pallbearer Cemetery. Scott and Roberts Mortuary is serving the family.
