Mildred Lindsey Bass December 11, 1936 - March 15, 2021

Macon, Georgia - Graveside Services for Mildred Lindsey Bass will be 12:00 Noon Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Mildred Lindsey Bass, daughter of Mr. Henry Howard and Mrs. Mattie Lindsey was born on December 11, 1936 in Macon, Georgia. Mildred was a graduate of Ballard-Hudson High School. She went on to earn a BA in Education from Savannah State University and a Master's Degree from Mercer University in Macon, GA. She was a dedicated teacher for over 30 years.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was a devout member of Union Baptist Church for many decades.

Mildred was married to the late Charles Bass. Their only child, Daryl Bass, preceded her in death in 2003. Daryl was her pride and joy. She loved reflecting on his life and telling stories about him and her entire family. She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking, and entertaining people. Macon has been her home for her entire life, and she took great pride in that.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her grandson, Christopher Bass, Detroit, Michigan; daughter-in-law, Shannon Bass, Detroit Michigan; niece, Sheila Passmore, Sacramento, California; nephews; Paul Passmore, Sacramento, California; Dale Passmore, Dallas, Texas; cousins; Washington Lindsey Jr., Macon, Georgia; Wendell Smith, Macon Georgia; Janice Hall, Macon Georgia; Shenita Merriweather-Denton, Warner Robins, Georgia; Pam and Dewayne Buckner, Macon, Georgia and countless others; her church family at Union Baptist; and many devout friends including; Donald Black, Gray, Georgia; Inez Hancock, Macon, Georgia; Gloria Bostic, Macon, Georgia; Gloria and Claudia Marable, Macon, Georgia; friend, Charlease Barkley, Macon, Georgia.
