Tallahassee - Mother Luberta S. Gainous, 96, transitioned Friday, March 19, 2021.

Graveside service with Covid-19 restrictions will be 11 A.M. Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Southside Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday, March 26, 2021 from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.

She was born March 18, 1925 to the late Fulton and Zanny Strong. She was a member of St. John M.B. Church where she served faithfully until her illness.

Treasuring her love and legacy are her loving children, Phillip of Gainesville, Alfred (Earnestine), Benjamin (Paulette), Paulette Gordon, Kevin (Sherese) all of Tallahassee, Maxine of Atlanta and Paula Gainous of Apopka; a sister, Juanita Gillum of Ocala; brother-in-law, Rev. T.E. Gainous of Orlando; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, King Phillip Gainous and a son, Donald Gainous.
