Obituary For Johnnie McDuffey

Mr. Johnnie McDuffey, 74, of New Hebron, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Wesley Medical Center, Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

He is the son of the late Hope and May Bell McDuffey. He was a member of North Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, New Hebron, Mississippi where he was a member of the Brotherhood and Finance Committee. He served in the United States Army Reserve.

Mr. McDuffey was a Logger with McDuffey Brothers Logging. He was a board member of Five County Child Development and Crooked Creek Water Association. He loved playing spades, bidwiz and spending time with family and friends.

Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, April 2, 2021 at North Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, New Hebron, Mississippi at 12 noon.

He is survived by: wife, Edith McDuffey of New Hebron, MS; son, Marvin McDuffey of New Hebron, MS; daughters, Arlene Maye of Byram, MS, Victoria Hannah of Olive Branch, MS and Johnnie May of Monticello, MS; brothers, David McDuffey of New Hebron, MS; Joseph and Dewitt McDuffey both of Brooklyn, NY; sister, Joanna Morris of St. Louis, MO and Frances Wright of Raleigh, MS; grandchildren:3

Visitation will be Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-6pm.

As a young man/boy, I was always happy to spend time with Johnnie and his brothers. As we grew in age our paths took us in different directions, but our bond remained strong.
