Obituary For Ms. Amy Murphy

On March 28th, Ms. Amy Murphy of Winter Haven, Florida and formerly of Marianna, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior at Astoria Health and Rehabilitation Center in Winter Haven, Florida. She was 89 years old.

She was of the Baptist faith and a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church.

Precious memories will forever linger with one sister, Sis. Ivory Robinson; one daughter, Elder Tauheedah Al-Amin; three sons, Elijah D. Thomas Jr., Jefferson T. Thomas and Milton I. Thomas; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, April 10th at 11a.m. graveside at St. John Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Alonzo Wilburn and Rev. Napolean Cotton officiating. Interment will follow with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
