Mr. Reddick was educated in the Guilford County School System, where he graduated from William Penn High School, Class of 1942. In 1944, Mr. AD united in marriage to the love of his life, Miss Beatrice Jones, at Turners Chapel A.M.E. Church, where he was a faithful member serving in many capacities. From this union came two beautiful children, James Edward (Charlie) Reddick and Rosa Maria (Bae) Reddick.
AD worked as a funeral attendant for Hoover’s Funeral Home and Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
Left to continue his legacy and cherish his memory are a devoted and faithful sister, Sylvia McInnis (James); son, James E. “Charlie” Reddick; a special daughter and caretaker, Rosa Maria (Bae) Reddick; grandchildren, Dewey Reddick, Rhonda McCollum, Hassan Reddick, Rodney Attaway, and Reginald A. Gillespie, Sr.; great-grandchildren, Jazzmin McCollum, Sarah McCollum, Joseph McCollum, and Master Reginald A. Gillespie, II; great-great grand, Gianna Shy Miller; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A private funeral service will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park. Mr. Reddick may be viewed on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
