Mr. Robert Lee Glover went home to be with the Lord on March 27 2021. Robert was born in Veanna Georgia on 23th February 1923 where he begun his journey in life. Robert worked as a machinist for a factory where he made heavy machinery in Brooklyn New York for a long period of time. He also worked as a part time New York City yellow cab driver. Robert served in the military during World War 2 and the Korean War. After the military Robert met his partner in life who later became his wife till this day Dorothy Elizabeth Glover. They married on 30 th Nov 1957 (for 64 wonderful years) and together they raised 7 kids, Irving, Anthony, Angelina, Ena, Glenn, Robert Jr. and Monica. Robert (better know as Bob) loved cooking for his family. He also loved taking his wife and kids on family outings. Bob was a big fan of the Mets baseball team, and as a hobby was a gardener. He would plant everything from collard greens, to tomatoes. He had a green thumb. One of favorite things to do was to sit in front of the tv with his remote and watch his sports. Robert is survived by his wife Dorothy Glover, his children Glenn, Ena, Robert Jr., Monica and Husband Christopher Dean; grandchildren Kenneth, Nyemia, Shakene, Nicole, Abula, Jaray, Tisha, Antoinnete, Divine, Unique, Desire, Keyshawn, Samatha, Monisha, Mondale, Mandrell ,Prince and Wife Terra Glover, Sunshine. Great grandchildren Keyon, Nekkei, Skye, and Isaiah. And host of nieces and nephews.
A private chapel service honoring his life will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 in the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel. Services entrusted to Perry J. Brown Funeral Home (336)-272-6109.
