Mrs. Barbara Ann Harris was born on August 18, 1953 to James and Nettie Lee Bowers, the second eldest of 11 children, and her heart was always toward her family. She was raised to honor the Lord and accepted Him as the head of her life.

Mrs. Barbara Harris was preceded in death by her parents James and Nettie Lee Bowers, sister Julia Mae Johnson, and brother Arnold Lee. Barbara and Willie met as neighbors in Compton, California. They married on May 17, 1969, from this union four children were born: Willie Gene Harris Jr (Talandria), LaTashia M. Harris-Ramos (Ernesto), Rayvion V. Harris, Ebonique V. Harris (Garnett). The Harris family home became a sanctuary to all in need. Barbara was resourceful and always found a way to give someone a meal or a place to stay. She would willingly step in the path of danger and sacrifice herself to protect those she loved. Auntie Bob or Maw Maw, was a real-life treasure, with a boundless love for people. She always sought to celebrate other’s accomplishments and support them in their struggles. Her greatest joy was her family (Proverbs 31:10). Barbara joined her husband, Willie, and attended 16th and Noble Church of Christ.

Her love has overflowed to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is loved eternally and will be missed into infinity.

Guest Book

I already miss my special friend that I got to know from Sam's Foodland Store in Ragland. I stopped by there 3-4 days a week and picked up my special breakfast sandwich she made especially for me. What a pretty smile she always had and such a sweet personality
