Obituary For Mary Bell Roberts

Mary Bell Roberts, 74 of Bowie, TX, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 3rd, at First Free Will Baptist Church in Bowie, with Glenn Neff officiating.

Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, TX.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at First Free Will Baptist Church.

Mary was born February 1st, 1947 in Decatur, TX to Joe and Susie (Hale) Norman. Mary was a homemaker, and as a young woman worked in a restaurant. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church. Mary enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and cross stitching. She always enjoyed playing on the computer.

She is preceded in death by her husband James Roberts Sr., her parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother, niece Carla Graves and nephew Harry Brinkley Jr..

Mary is survived by her daughters Susie Roberts, Rose Roberts and Mary Elston, all of Bowie, TX; her son James Roberts Jr. of Rogersville, TN; brother Charles Norman Sr. of Buffalo Springs, TX; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, many cousins; her church family; and friends at the Dairy Queen.
