Obituary For Melvin Godbolt

Mr. Melvin Godbolt, 75, departed this life on Wednesday, March 31, 2021.

Funeral service will be held at Antioch Baptist Church, 1415 Holloway St.. Durham, NC on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 1:30 pm., visitation service from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm. Burial will be at Glennview Memorial Gardens.

Masks are to be worn and social distancing required at all meetings, visits and services. All acts of kindness are appreciated during this difficult time.

Flowers will not be accepted on behalf of the family at Holloway Memorial Funeral Home. The family will advise you where to send flowers.

Michaela, thank you for sharing him with us. He always opened his heart and home to us without hesitation even if he was a Tarheel fan. Lol My swag daddy Melvin. Such a loving and kind hearted soul. Such a great grandfather and my superhero solider when I needed it the most. I'm so grateful to have had that special bond with him for the last 28 years. To Michaela, what a honor to have been a part of your father's life, I love the times we gathered over Melvins house on weekends and had lots of fun! All through his illness he put God first and he have earn his spiritual wings by being a faithful servant of God!
