Mr.Lynch was Assistant Principal at East Rome Jr. High where I attended. He was such a wonderful man, he loved the students and we knew it. He was firm but fair, I thought the world of him. I have thought of him many times over the years, he made a big impact on me and a lot of others. Heaven gained a wonderful soul and I know there was a big celebration. May God give his family comfort during this time, he will be truly missed.

Mr Lynch was the Assistant Principal at East Rome Jr High School, where I was a student, when I met him. He put the fear in me and many others! He was the most honest, caring man. He was ALWAYS fair n was willing to lend an ear. As years went on, he became Principal at Annie K Davie Elementary where my son attended. I expected him to give my son the same talks he gave me, and he did. I'm so grateful to have known this great man. My heart is swollen with grief of his passing. A truly GREAT man. RIP, I know without a doubt, you are an Angel with many, many jewels in your crown!

My dad, Harold Brock, called me this morning to say his former secretary, Lavada Dillard, called him about the passing of Jackie Lynch. My dad and our family thought the world of Jackie and spoke of him often. We were so sad to hear of his passing. My dad got the news after the funeral and drove to Cedartown yesterday to find where he was buried because as he said "he just felt like he needed to be there". We have such fond memories of our family trip to Jekyll Island many many years ago with Jackie, Helen, Preston and Sonya. We are praying for peace for your family during these difficult days. I often share that Jackie P. Lynch was the best boss I ever had. He set expectations and expected everyone, including himself, to meet or exceed them. He was demanding, yet fair. There was NOTHING he would ask of someone that he would not do, himself. He was truly a servant leader....a wonderful example. More than that, he was so incredibly kind and loved his students. It was an honor to have learned from him, and I pray I reflect his work ethic and empathy every day. My prayers are lifted for his family and friends, whom he loved. Teresa McPherson

Mr Lynch was my 10th grade Biology Teacher. He assigned us the task of collecting and submitting a collection of insects. I was petrified of BUGS. Mr Lynch had mercy on me and gave me a collection to submit to him. He saved my life in that moment of kindness. I even received an excellent grade! He truly was a servant leader.

I am deeply sorry to hear of Mr. Lynch's passing. It was my privilege to work with him for many years and to call him my friend. He was a role model and demonstrated professionalism in all his actions. He held very high expectations of himself and he expected no less from others. He also had a gentle, kind heart and saw himself as a servant leader. He anonymously performed many acts of kindness for individual children because he knew they had great needs. He overcame what must have been extraordinary challenges as he rose to become an educational leader in the public schools of GA. I will forever remember his kindness, great wit, infectious laugh, and all the many lessons I learned from him. To Mrs. Lynch and his family: you are in my prayers as you experience the loss of this exemplary man. Pam S. Hamilton

I am deeply sadden upon hearing about Mr. Lynch's passing. He hired me for my very first teaching job before I even graduated from college. After working under him as my principal, I knew I had the confidence to grow and expand my wings anywhere else. Forty plus years later, I know that he shaped me into the teacher that I became. Mrs. Lynch, Preston and Sonya, my prayers are with you as you as you face the difficult days ahead. He will be missed my many. -Rosie Dennard Walker
