Obituary For Earl Glenn

Mr. Earl Eugene Glenn was born on November 13, 1958 to Herman and Delcina Glenn. Earl departed this earthly life on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the age of sixty two.

Earl was a graduate of Ashbrook High School, upon graduation Earl served in the US ARMY for over 12 years. Earl had many accomplishments, rewards and metals such as; bronze medal of service, Southwest Asia service medal, Star 2 Kuwait Liberator medal, Professional development ribbon, ARMY service ribbon, and overseas ribbon along with expert marksmanship badge pistol.

Earl was married to Sharon Glenn for over forty- two years and they share five beautiful children together. Earl worked for Food Lion Inc. for many years, where he loved to meet people, Earl never met a stranger. Earl had a vibrant personality, and was truly genuine, and had a giving spirit.

Earl was a dedicated member of Neely’s Grove AME Zion Church, where he served in office of Trustee, usher board, church choir and worked as a janitor. Earl believed in giving back his talents unto the Lord,

Earl loved his family with all his heart, he loved to spend time with his nine grandchildren, who had him head over heels for them. He loved to cookout and invite friends and family over to have a good time. Earl had a love for sports and loved the Dallas Cowboys, he believed in his team through the ups and downs.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Delcina Glenn, his son Eric Glenn, brothers Sonny, Willie and John Frank.

Earl leaves to cherish his memories behind his loving wife Mrs. Sharon Glenn; children: LaTonya Lindsay, Falisha Poe, Marcus (Miriam) Glenn, and Michael Glenn; Sister Vanessa Glenn, Brothers: Lee and Bobby (Diane) Glenn and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews and family.

Viewing will be at the funeral home on Monday; April 5, 2021 from 2 until 5

Funeral: Tuedsay; April 6, 2021' 2;00 p.m.; Neeley's Grove AME Zion Church, Gastonia

Interment: Neeley's Grove Church Cemetery

Rest in peace Cuz...Earl was the life and joy at the many cookouts at our cousin Von's home. He had a wit and personality that made it enjoyable and fun to be around him. I will certainly miss him during my trips back home to Gastonia.
