Obituary For Mrs. Ann Marie McCray

Augusta, Georgia-Mrs. Ann McCray entered into rest Sunday, April 4, 2021 at her residence.

Ann was born June 20, 1952 to the late James Williams and Alice Pearl Wells in Augusta, Georgia. She was a graduate of Lucy C. Laney Class of 1971 and a faithful member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memoria Park, 2700 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta, Georgia with Reverend Clarence Moore, eulogist.

Social distancing will be observed and masks are required.

Public viewing will be Friday, April 9, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the mortuary.

Survivors are her beloved husband, Luther “Doc” McCray, Jr.; one son, Antonio Samuels; two daughters, Yvonne (Dwayne) Gordon and Katonya Brunson; two granddaughters, Salante’ Lewis, Chyna Carter and Skye’ Jones; two great grandchildren, Amaree Beard and Marliee-Grace Wilder; one god daughter, Andrea Pierce; three brothers, Marion Wells, Ronnie (Tabetha) Wells and James Williams; two sisters, Dora Jefferson and Bobbie “Lil Sis” Lambert; aunt, Johnnie Mae Wells; father-in-law, Luther (Ann) McCray, Sr.; brothers-in-law, James McCray, Harry McCray and Tim (Angela) McCray; sister-in-law, Cindy McCray and Sheila Zinnemann, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

To my big sis.I will miss u so much especially our talks everyday and I will always remember our trips we use to take and the way you would react when I would call and say ann do you want to go to where ever we were going and you would just ask what time you want me and my (cow) luggage to be ready you really loved that luggage, sis. on sunday you packed your luggage and left alone but part of us went with you I Love you sis.and we will see you again.
