Jackie Ruth Salters entered eternal rest on April 1, 2021. Jackie was born in Spartanburg, SC on July 20, 1956 to the late Mattie Lee Drummond-Salters and Lemon Cohen. Jackie graduated from Spartanburg High School, Class of 1975. She served in the United States Army.

Ms. Salters retired from the South Carolina Department of Social Services for over twenty-three years receiving many awards and certifications.

She was an active member of Foster’s Chapel Baptist Church.

Jackie is survived by: her godmother, Mattie Mae McCluney; godsister, Gerri Reeder; daughter, Tracy Salters; son, Victor Lamont Salters; grandchildren, Travis Copeland, TaQuan(Jay) Copeland, Victor L. Salters Jr.; niece, Wendy Stripling (Tyrone Stripling); nephews, Johnnie Salters, Douglas Salters, Bryan Salters and Jessie Salters, Jr.; great-nieces and great-nephews; three great-grandchildren; and a host of great-great nieces, great-great nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of the Life for Jackie Ruth Salters will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC.
