Obituary For Clyde Leonard O'Bannard

The Peace of God's eternal rest came to Mr. Clyde Leonard O'Bannard on Sunday, April 4th at his residence in Yemassee, SC. A native of Yemassee, Clyde was a son of the late Joe O'Bannard and Lucille Smith O'Bannard. He attended the local public schools In his early adult life, Clyde migrated to the metropolis of New York. In New York, he met and married the late Mary Alice O'Bannard. While residing in Jamaica Queens, NY he became a refrigeration technician. He was the owner/operator of the Mid-Island Refrigeration Company. Clyde retired and returned to his hometown in the year of 2010. In his senior years he has enjoyed the quiet lifestyle of a small town along with the comfort and company of his family. Clyde is survived by his son, Kim (Lisa) Barnwell, his sisters and brothers, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and caring friends.

Visitation: Friday, April 9th 4-7 pm in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home.

Graveside services: Saturday, April 10th, 11:00am in the Hickory Hill Cemetery, Varnville, SC.

All services will be conducted in accordance with CDC health guidelines in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic (Mask and social distancing).
