Obituary For Julia Raines Abbott

Julia Raines Abbott, 73 of Wichita Falls, TX, passed away from this world on Tuesday, April 6th, 2021.

Graveside services will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 10th, at Bellevue Cemetery, with Pastor Tommy John Mayo officiating.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 9th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Julia was born August 27th, 1947 in Galveston, TX. She married Charles Abbott on August 17th, 1964 in Pecos, TX. They shared their lives for 54 years. She spent her life caring for her loved ones and numerous patients that she spoke of often. Julia began her nursing career in 1972 as an LVN and received her Associate Degree of Nursing in 1993.

She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Abbott, mother Peggy Raines, grandmother Julia Wilson, aunt Wanda Arnold, and grandson John Lawson.

Julia is survived by her Aunt Opal ONeal of Wichita Falls; daughters Kathy Lawson and husband C.D. of Vashti, TX, Opal Clark of Wichita Falls, and Peggy Schroeder of Bellevue, TX; grandchildren C.W Lawson and wife Jeannie, Brittany Blevins and husband Ryan, Chance Schroeder and wife Beth, John Schroeder and wife Jaci, Cordell Lawson and wife Alyssa, Breanna Clark and husband Josh, Bailey Schroeder and Adreanna Clark; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous family, friends, and nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Julia to Hospice of Wichita Falls at 4909 Johnson Rd. Wichita Falls, TX 76310.
