Obituary For Dorothy Mae Lewis-Jean Pierre

Dorothy Mae Lewis-Jean Pierre, was born on December 5, 1964 in Quincy, FL. to the late Kattie Mae Lewis-Ross and John Henry Woods. She confessed her love for Christ at an early age and joined Friendship Primitive Baptist Church in Quincy, FL.

Dorothy was affectionately known as Dot or Plukie to many from Quincy to Fort Pierce, FL. In the early 80โ€™s she attended James A. Shanks High School of Quincy, FL. and begin working in agriculture. She moved to Fort Pierce, FL. in the late 80โ€™s and was employed in child daycare and hotel services.

On Friday, April 2, 2021 in accordance with the divine will of our Heavenly Father Dot transitioned while sleeping; to her heavenly home.

Dot leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish their memories: her husband; Jean Herold Jean Pierre, Fort Pierce, FL., Son; Elease Dominick Oxe Gainesville, FL., Step Father; John Henry Lewis, Sr., Sisters; Priscilla Ann Lewis- Williams (Curtis), Fort Pierce, FL., Tammy Lynn Robinson and LaTonya Denise Brinson, Port St. Lucie, FL., Johnny Mae Woods, Miami, FL. Brothers; John Henry Lewis (Teresa) Columbus, GA., Major Wilson, Fort Pierce, FL., Demery Lamar Carter (Shelia) Fort Pierce, FL., and Don Clark (Leslie) Atlanta, GA. Aunts and Uncles; Sarah Highman, Louise Lewis, Elouise Lewis, Mattie and Herbert Brown, and Betty and Willie King Cousins; David, Shirley, Elearon, Marvin, John, and Charles (Beckwith), Vickie, Charles, Nita, Vanchera, Andes, Adnes, and Cedric (Bronson), Major, Shenita, Christopher, Lilian, Ebony, Sherika, Marcus, and Monica (Highman); a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends; Dodo Oxe, Debra, Jackie, and other family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Public viewing for Dorothy Mae Lewis Jean Pierre will take place on Friday, April 9, 2021 between the hours of 4:00pm and 7:00pm at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL by way of our drive-thru in the rear of the facility. A celebration of her life will convene on Saturday, April 10, 2021 also at Stone Brothers Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Although many venues have opened and the restrictions of COVID 19 have been relaxed, we here at Stone Brothers Funeral Homes are still enforcing the guidelines set forth by the CDC and FDOH to protect our families and our staff. We ask that you respect this, as it could very well save your life. We also ask that you acknowledge and execute the 6 ft. social distancing guidelines as well.
