Obituary For Larry Ellis

Larry Ellis, 66, of 412 Elmwood Dr., Spartanburg, SC unexpectedly passed on Sunday, April 3, 2021. He was the son of the late James Ellis and Lucille Robinson (James) Drummond. Mr. Ellis was the devoted husband of Odessa Ellis for thirty-two years.

He believed that Jesus Christ was the son of God and that he died on the cross for our sins.

Larry was affectionately called "Bo Ellis" by his dear friends.

Mr. Ellis was a faithful employee of Beaumont Textile Mills for many years. Larry was also employed with Spartanburg Herald Journal delivering newspapers for twenty-five years.

Larry's favorite hobbies included: spending time with his family, doing for others, fishing and hanging out with his friends at the clean up shop known as "The Alley".

He was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Robinson.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are: his sons, Latron Ellis of Spartanburg, SC and Alquinn Brewton of Spartanburg, SC; his daughter, Montana Ellis of the home; his granddaughters, Breanna and Nevayah Ellis of Spartanburg, SC; his sister, Syble Woodruff of Spartanburg, SC; his five brothers, Milton Drummond, Sr. of Inman, SC, Ronnie Drummond of the home, Wayne Robinson of Columbia, SC, James Drummond of Spartanburg, SC and Jimmy Ellis of Anderson, SC; his aunts, Martha Robinson of Belton, SC and Katherine McIntyre of Tampa, FL; his six nieces; his seven nephews; his four great-nieces; his ten great-nephews; his godchildren, Antrinna Miller Harris, Quashonda Brewton, Timothy "Tut" Smith and Quinten Brewton both of spartanburg, SC; and a host of loving cousins.

A Celebration of the Life of Larry Ellis will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard St., Spartanburg, SC. Live Stream services will be available on Facebook on the TEEFERGUSONREPORT.
