Mr. Roland P. Cotton a resident of Montgomery, AL expired April 7, 20212. Roland P. Cotton Sr., was born to Carl and Delores Cotton Sr., on September 24, 1953. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Alabama State University. He was a long time employee of AT&T. Once he retired from AT&T, he began employment with Taylor Road Academy where he participated on the coaching staff. In later years, he was employed by Kowa Pharmaceuticals and Sanitech. While working with Sanitech, he created a work family with Alabama Housing Finance Authority. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl W. and Delores E. Cotton Sr.,; brother, Stanley E. Cotton Sr., He leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife of forty-seven years, Rose Marie Cotton; five children, Rolanda (David) Harden, DeCarla (Kelvin) Heard, Tracey (Shedrick) Smith Jr., Roland (Davida) Cotton Jr., Christina (Jamerio) Sanders; ten grandchildren, Frederick DeCarlos Rudolph, Walter (Kae) Dean, Nikko (Rachael) Rudolph, Ja'vier Dean, Jamea Harris, Jadaria German, Anneyah Sanders, Kamiya Ball, Jakira Sanders, Hayden Cotton; one great grandchild, Kaine Johnson; one great aunt, Bondyne Robinson; two brothers, Carl (Sandria) Cotton Jr., and Richard V. Cotton; two sisters-in-law, Marietta Nero and Rainetta Brown; one brother-in-law, Rainey (Georgette) Varner; Extended Family: Kiian Garrett, LaQuentin Powell, Shedrick Smith III, Javia Foster, Destany Foster, Shederick Smith IV, Ta'Shira Smith, Jalen Smith, Emory Coleman, Aiden White, Joshua Hopper III, Jamarion Ligon, Skylin Blackmon, Paisley Franklin, Paris Ligon; also a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to address sincere appreciation and gratitude for all acts of kindness during this time of bereavement.
