Obituary For Johnny Mack Brown

The funeral services for the late Mr. Johnny Mack Brown, who departed this life on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Phoebe Worth Medical Center in Sylvester, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. from the Shepard Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sylvester, Georgia. Words of Comfort and Encouragement will be given by Reverend McKenzie Jones. Services may be viewed Facebook Live from the "Shipps Funeral Home" Facebook page.

Mr. Johnny Mack Brown was born on November 13, 1950 in Sylvester, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur J. and Lessie Mae Robinson Brown.

Johnny was educated in the Worth County Public School System. Early in his life, Johnny gave his life to Christ and joined the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Shingler, Georgia.

On April 26, 1969, Johnny was united in Holy Matrimony to Rosa M. Jones. Johnny worked as a Machine Welder.

Our Loved One was called from Labor to Eternal Rest on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Phoebe Worth Medical Center in Sylvester, Georgia. His parents, a brother, Eugene Robinson, a sister, Aurelia Fields, and a grandson, Santez Fortson, all have preceded him in death.

Johnny leaves to cherish his memories his sons, Jeffery (Keisha) Brown, Quincy Ahmed (Pansy) Brown, Roderick Sloan, all of Atlanta, Georgia; a daughter, Monkita Sloan of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters, Deloris (Maurice) Jenkins, Othia Williams, both of Sylvester, Georgia, Dian (George) Thomas of Atlanta, Georgia; brothers, Arthur (Helen) Brown of Augusta, Georgia, Larry (Beverly) Brown of Sylvester, Georgia; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends
