Obituary For Larry Dalton

Mr. Larry Dalton, 72, of Stephens, GA transitioned to God's heavenly shores on April 8, 2021.

Born in Stephens to the late Earnest and Agatha "Shug" Dalton, he was a devoted father, loving brother, and doting grandfather. At an early age, he joined Thankful Baptist Church in Stephens, GA under the pastorate of Dwight L. Sims. Larry was a strong, kind, and hardworking man who was loved by many, particularly his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Anthony Jerome Dalton. He leaves to cherish precious memories to his wife, Darlene Collins Dalton. His children: Patrick Kim (Keyonna) Bonds, Shantelle Lissa (Rickey) Dalton-Bonds, Rashad Dalton, and Akeia Dalton. His siblings: Harry (Regina) Dalton, Bessie Jones, Paulette (Malcolm) Cade, Earnest Gene (Gwen) Dalton, Flora Dalton, and Albert McCommons.Two aunts: Geraldine Dalton and Rebecca Hunter. Five sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law; three stepchildren: Shavea (Ray) Davenport, Nakeita Collins, and Marcus King and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 10:00AM until 7:00PM at Barrett Funeral Home Oglethorpe. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 1:00PM at Popes Chapel Cemetery, Stephens, GA. This will be a closed casket service.
