We are SO saddened and shocked to receive this news. Blessings and condolences to the family, friends, and acquaintances of Meranda. We first met at Misawa Air Base, Japan many years ago. Meranda was our Mission Support Group Resource Adviser and in my dealings with her, I was always so impressed and knew I could count on her in my time of need. I always appreciated the support and Meranda was someone who I wanted to communicate with any chance I got. Rest well Meranda as I know you will be waiting for us in heaven. Meranda was an amazing person. She was my first flight chief in the Air Force at McConnell AFB, KS. She became my supervisor and was like a mother figure to me at work. I'll never forget everything she taught me. She was everything a leader should be; kind, caring, strong, present. Meranda taught me a lot and I will cherish the memories I have of her. One memory I wish to share was when I was working a guard/reserve weekend. Meranda came into the office to check on the airmen working that weekend, her girls were there too. We closed up and all left at the same time. As I was walking to my car, Meranda asks me to come to her car. I wasn't sure if I was in trouble or what. Come to find out one of her daughters and wanted to compliment me on my long hair. We were allowed to wear our civis and I had my hair down that day. I was so grateful for their compliment and thought her daughters were sweet just like she was. My heart goes out to her daughters, I know Meranda was very proud of everything they accomplished and continue to do. I pray for healing for all her friends and families. Meranda you will be greatly missed. Love and miss you so much!
