Obituary For Alison L. Bailey Johnson

Alison L. Bailey Johnson, 58, of Madison, died April 9, 2021. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:30pm Thursday, April 22, 2021. Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2021 at Baileytown Cemetery, Walnut Cove, NC.

Alison was born May 6, 1962 in Danbury, NC. She attended the public schools of Stokes County and was a graduate from South Stokes High School. She was the first self-employed with her own cleaning service at South Eastern Middle School in Walnut cove, NC. Then she became employed at Troutman in Danbury, NC. Alison wanted to further her education so she went to cosmetology school at Empire Beauty School in Greensboro, NC where she graduated and received her cosmetology license. She worked at Dudley's Beauty Center as a stylist and selling hair products. She eventually ventured out again to become the owner of her own salon and she invested in real estate purchasing several houses around the salon. She attended church starting from Baileytown Christian Church in Walnut Cove, NC and later attended New Beginnings Christian Church where she served as a loyal and committed member. She was a dedicated choir member, president of the Pastor's Aide Committee for several years, served on the Usher Board and the Missionary Society.

Allison departed this life on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center, Kernersville, NC following a brief period of illness. She always had a smile on her face that could light up a room. She never met a stranger and she was always willing to help others. She loved kids...everyone's kids. She would take them in and treat them as if they were her own. Alison love the Lord and she loved her family. She was a God fearing Woman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Lee and Sallie Elizabeth Bailey and two sisters, Faith Amanda Kirkland and Harriet Lash Rhodes.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her former husband, Jeffrey Christopher Johnson and daughter; Leighshae Christine (Lennon, Jr.) Medlin of Madison, NC, brothers; James Lash, Keith Bailey, Terry Lee Bailey (Vicky) all of Walnut Cove, NC, Lloyd Bailey of Madison, NC, sisters; Dona Bailey of Walnut Cove, NC, Lauranne Caldwell (Joe) of Kernersville, NC, grandchildren; Jayshaun Antonio Johnson and Jamyl Curtis Medlin of Madison, NC, uncle; Bobby Lash (Gwendolyn) of Walnut Cove, NC, aunt; Mary Webster (John) of Madison, NC, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other special relatives and lifelong very special friends; Mrs. Roberta Whisonant, Miss Denise Galloway, Michelle Welch, Mary Davis and Sparkle Pratt.
