"If a man die, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till change come." Job 14:14
Lolita Lisa Young was born April 20, 1967, in Allendale county, South Carolina, to Shiann Mitchell and the late Herbert Lee Marshall. She was nurtured in the home of her maternal grandparents, the late Henry Mitchell and Virginia Mitchell with her loving sister "Litisa." reared as her own.
Her faith and belief in God was expressed at an early age, when she was baptized and became a member of Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church. "Lisa" as she was affectionately called, served faithfully until her health declined.
She was educated in the Allendale County Schools, Class of 1985. She furthered her studies at Denmark Technical College.
Lolita was united in marriage to Darryl Young, and they were blessed with one son, Traivon.
She was employed with Allendale County Schools over 26 years. Lisa's love for her family was a passion. She was a person to whom were happy to see you. Lisa always had a smile and a king word to say. She wanted those in her presence to feel special. In essence, she loved everyone especially the children she worked with in and outside of the classroom.
On Saturday, April 10, 2021, Lisa transitioned from earth to eternity holding on to God's unchanging hands.
She will be welcomed home in the wings of her Survivor Lord Jesus Christ along with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, beyond the next door to greet her.
