I was the next door neighbor to the Hall family for over 14 years. I babysat their 3 well-behaved children regularly. Mr. Hall was generous and empathetic to all people. He would shovel our snow before he shoveled his own, and would mow our lawn before mowing his own lawn. He would sometimes whistle or throw in a dance step while shoveling or mowing the lawn. Every Sunday morning, he would put his 3 well-dressed sons into the car and wait for his wife to finish her makeup, and they would head to church. Mr. Hall raised respectful sons who were excellent students and hard workers. Mr. Hall served his country in the military as well. It was a common sight to see Mr. Hall barbecuing steaks during the summer time, and playing popular music in his backyard, while family and friends gathered for the feasting and dancing. I partook of those delicious meals of steak, German chocolate cake, and butter pecan ice cream. The Halls earned the respect of their neighbors, classmates, and coworkers. Mr. Hall will be remembered as a kind-hearted person who practiced charity in his daily life, and who was a faithful spouse and devoted father. I am thankful for having known Mr. Hall. See you on the other side!
