Obituary For Rickey "Big Rick" Wayne Brown Jr.

Mr. Rickey Wayne "Big Rick" Brown Jr. passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Riverview Regional Medical Center.

The Obituary

Rickey Wayne Brown, Jr. affectionately known as β€œBig Rick” was born September 21, 1973 in Etowah County to Anita Faye Thomas and Rickey Wayne Brown, Sr. Rickey came to Christ as a teenager and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Rickey received his education from Head Start, Disque Middle School, and Gadsden High School. Rickey became a valuable player of the Gadsden High Tigers Area 12 Champions 1989-90. Rickey continues to live in Gadsden where he was admired, loved, and well known. Rickey also coached for the Mountain Rams Football C-Team in 1999. He was preceded in death by his Uncle, Radford (Bubba)Thomas and Aunt, Vicky (Kitty Cat) Thomas.

He leaves remembrances if his life shared to a devoted compassionate companion Jeanine Roberson of Hobson, AL., their dog, Star; His mother, Anita Faye Thomas of Nashville, Tn. and His father, Rickey Wayne (Melody)Brown, Sr. of Houston, Tx; Step-Father, Clay (Renee) Usher. Three loving devoted sisters, Jameka Usher, Shanice Usher, and Carmen Taylor of Nashville, Tn.; Aunts: Marzett Thomas of Detroit, MI., Deborah Thomas of Birmingham, AL., & Shelia Thomas of Louisville, KY.; Nieces: MaKayla, Shavon, Terreka Usher, and Aubree Dandridge; Nephews: Elijah Usher and Jacobie Dandridge of Nashville, Tn; Cousins: Johanna and Tenesha Thomas, Jennifer(Tez)Ector, Jessica, Cleminth, Sheldon (Baby Sheldon), Spencer, & Kyle. And a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, E. Gadsden, at 3:30 pm. Eulogist: Reverend Z' Andre Huff. Burial will take place at Lincoln Hills Memorial Park.
