Nae... Even before your sister and got married we had fun times growing on Riverside. I followed the singing group of Mona, Jeanne, Emmy and Rob wherever they went in Harlem. Being Mona's Beau my drinks were free. Then at some point we all left Riverside, Jeanne was in Richmond, VA. In my travels to NC to see my Mom I stopped to see Jeanne a couple times. Both Dineen and Kendall with me and we crashed on the couch. Of course we laughed till we cried talking about our history and times back in NY. Memories that last forever! You know the sisters are getting their vocals right and I'm sure sometime soon, late at night, I'll be able to hear them! R.I.P.

Remembering a sweet, sweet spirit with fondness. While hearts of her colleagues/friends are heavy, there is comfort in our memories and faith. Sincerest condolences to entire family, her friends and coworkers. Brenda Macklin, former VDSS coworker

Nae' is what I called her when I saw her. Didn't know her personally but she always wore a friendly smile. Always looking good from head to toe, but she was just as beautiful inside as she was outside. Nae was the kinda person that could talk to anyone, and I don't think she has ever met a stranger! We'd strike up a conversation like we'd known each other forever. I will certainly miss her friendly smile and our brief conversations @Pop's. This was so hard to believe after seeing someone day after day so full of life. To her children and extended family my heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time!πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

While working for DSS I had the pleasure of knowing this young woman, we had some heartfelt conversations when she was battling cancer...I've been retired since 2013 and lost contact with so many from DSS...another coworker shared who didn't know her shared your families loss with me...my sincere and deepest sympathy to the family at this difficult time

My condolences go out to Jeanne's family as I search for the proper words to express this loss. I worked with her at DSS for about 8 years and we went to lunch together on a regular basis. We discussed our kids and issues we each had. Though I left DSS in 2017 I had just talked with her a few weeks back and this was the last thing in my mind I would have thought would occur. We always laughed and made jokes about life and she and her great smile will be missed, John Rigdon...

I had the honor of being Jeanne's Stepmom for several years while I was married to her Dad. Her and her sister Mona were sweet, talented and smart. I am so proud of how Jeanne lived her life. I cannot believe she is gone, way too soon. I hope to be a light for her kids and grandkids in any way I can. Jeanne was such a special person, mother, and young grandmother, and will always be remembered, loved and never forgotten. Connie Thompson Such sweet and talented girls.

My thoughts and prayers are with the children and family of Jeanne, this is truly heartbreaking. Although I didn't work with her long, or know her well, in our brief interactions she was always helpful and truly a beautiful soul inside and out. Her fiery spirit matched that gorgeous red hair only she could pull off. I grew to love that red and wear red extensions because of you Jeanne - May God cover your loved ones and you Rest in Power. With Love - Chanee Williams coworker at DSS

Extending heartfelt condolences to the Thompson family and friends. She was such a beautiful person. I have so many wonderful memories of her both professionally and as a friend. We would talk for what seems like 10 minutes but an hour had passed by. We would always make each other laugh. It did not matter if we were having a good day, a bad day, a sleepy afternoon, or just because. We would tell each other as we laugh that life is too short and we better enjoy it, and we did. I will always remember that smile. I will say goodbye as we did at work. Have a good one, Ms. Ja'Na Se'Qua, Pinky up! She will truly truly be missed but never nerver forgotten!

My mother was a pillar in her family and her community and her workplace. She definitely lived a glorious life that was filled with admiration, laughter, respect, triumph, discipline, forgiveness, confidence, love, wealth, and beauty. Lots of beauty.
