Obituary For Allen Bernard Fennell

Allen “Penebay” Fennell, 69, of Daytona Beach, FL was born on Sunday, January 20, 1952 to Buford Fennell and Josephine People in Quincy, FL. He received his education in the Volusia County School District and subsequently graduated from Campbell Senior High School. Penebay attended Bethune Cookman University to obtain his degree in Computer Science where he was third in his class. He was enlisted in the United States Army and many years later, honorably discharged. Allen had a humble soul and loved to smile. He enjoyed music, cooking, watching television and spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. Penebay was a man of God that stood strong on his belief and believed in putting his family first.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in eternal rest by his brother, Donald “Duck”Fennell, and grandson, Sha’Quan Hawkins.

He leaves to cherish his many memories, loving handsome son, Paul Fennell; loving beautiful daughter, De’Lilah Fennell; sister, Peggy Fennell (Al) Bradley; sister -in- law, Alicia Fennell; grandsons, Jeremiah Hawkins, Rae’Quan Lockley; granddaughters, R’Maria Fennell, Pheris Fennell, Milan Elam, Gizelle Hymes, a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins.

The Fennell Family will receive friends and the community from 5:00p.m. – 6:00p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Herbert-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel. The Homegoing Celebration will be Saturday, April 17, 2021 3:00p.m. at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Evans L. Smith, eulogist. The burial will be 10:45a.m. at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on Monday, April 19, 2021.
