Obituary For Reginald "Joe Bill" Martin, Jr.

Reginald “Joe Bill” Martin Jr., 78, of Walnut-Cove, died April 12, 2021. A public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Perry- Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2021 at Pine Hall Baptist Church Cemetery, Pine Hall, NC

On Monday, April 12, 2021, God’s heavenly angels came down to claim one of his own. Reginald Martin, Jr. was born to the late Reginald Martin and Thelma Hairston Dalton on April 15, 1942. He received his education at Stokes County Schools. He retired from Tultex Inc after man years of service. He was a very loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He loved his church family and loved his pastor, first lady, Mrs. Lowery and Rev. Lowery. Weather you knew him as “Joe Bill”, “UNC” or “Spiderman”, he would do anything he could for you. His love and smiles will forever be missed. He was also preceded in death by siblings; Orlando Martin, Granville Dalton, Mary Jane Mitchell, Helen Price, Vaul Martin, Herman Martin and Donald Martin.

He leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters; Carlotta Welch (David) and Stephanie Hairston, four sons; Dwayne Martin, James Martin, Bryan Martin, Tyrone Calloway, two sisters; Teresa Richardson (Charles) and Shirley Mitchell, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
