James E. Claybrooks Jr., 47, of Lawsonville, NC died April 11, 2021. The family will have a private service Saturday, April 24, 2021. James son of the late Kathy V. Claybrooks and James E. Claybrooks, Sr. was born March 2, 1974, he entered into his rest on Sunday, April 11, 2021. James attended Withers Chapel UMC at an early age. He graduated from South Stokes High School and worked at Liberty Embroidery from 1998 to 2003 and then worked at Koby Cooper in 2003. James moved to Bentonville, Arkansas where he worked at Walmart and worked in C N A. After relocating back to North Carolina he attended Culinary School for cooking (baking sweets began). In 2018 he met the love of his life, Christy Nickelston whom he loved her and her kids, Levi, Travis, Miranda, especially Bliss (the dog) and his #1 daughter, Cydney Claybrooks. He was also preceded by Ruby Brown, Suzone Claybrooks, aunties and uncles.

He leaves to cherish memories: a loving daughter; Cydney Claybrooks of Arkansas, his fiancé; Christy Nickelston of Lawonsville, NC, three sisters; Ruby Durrell (Rev. Wesley), Tosha Claybrooks Monroe, NC, Latise Moore, Monroe, NC, brother; Leonard Claybrooks, Pine Hall, NC, uncles; Curtis Withers (Diane), Belews Creek, NC, Frank Moore, Mayodan, NC, aunts; Contance Pruitt, Eden, NC, Sandra Hairston, Walkertown, NC and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
