Obituary For Elton Don Shults

Elton Don “Donnie” Shults, 71 of Forestburg, TX, passed away Saturday, April 10th, 2021 in Nocona, TX.

A memorial visitation will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 24th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Donnie was born February 17th, 1950 in Bowie to John Allen and Ola Mae (Scott) Shults. He graduated from Forestburg High School, and later served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He worked in sales, selling street sweepers and garbage trucks. Donnie later worked for American Airlines as a luggage handler. He enjoyed spending time at the beach and sailing with his family on his sailboat, he was an avid corvette enthusiast.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Jeannie Conway and brother Arnold Shults. Donnie is survived by his son Matt Shults of Austin, TX; brothers Dale Shults and Bo Shults, both of Forestburg; grandchildren Rory Shults, Adeline Shults, and Shelby Jones; great-grandchildren Tegan Grace Jones, Bryon Cole Jones, and Tinley Faith Jones.

I'm sad to hear of Donnie's death. He was the love of my life and even though our marriage didn't last our friendship did. Dale and Bo I'm sorry for your loss. Now his constant pain is over. Rest In Peace my love. Judy
