Obituary For Delaney Khoule James Thurman

Delaney Khoule James Thurman, “Mister Wisdom,” joined his ancestors on April 10, 2021, after a courageous battle with VSD while at his southern home in Athens, Georgia. Born in Portland, Oregon on November 22, 2020, and living in Simi Vally, CA with his parents Lisa Marie (Houle) Thurman and Khamisi Jelani Thurman. He also lived and loved his fur-brother Jacki-Dooode. Baby D enjoyed his many adventures.

Delaney’s ability to smile through surgery and recovery will be forever remembered by all who shared time with him and by those he shined his bright light upon. He was smart, strong and sincere.

Survivors include his birth Mama, Jamey Lynn Youngblood and his Brother, Jackson Youngblood (Portland, OR), birth GMa and GPa Nancy and Al Knutson and Papa and Grandma Steve and Wendi Youngblood (Simi Valley, CA). Maternal Nana and Poppie Victoria R. Houle (Millington) and Kim J. Houle (Cohoes, NY), Auntie Stacy M. Houle (Troy, NY). Paternal Great-Grandmother, Ms. Adeline Jackson, Grandmother and Grandfather, Donna and Bill Thurman, Uncle and Auntie Kirin and Sarah Thurman, cousin Kylo Thurman (Athens, Georgia), Uncle and Aunt Rodney and Angela Thurmond, cousin RJ Thurmond (Malden, MA) and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and family.

Calling Hours will be held from 4-6pm Saturday, April 17, 2021(EST) at Jackson-McWhorter Funeral Home in Athens, Georgia. At 8pm, there will be an eternal flame ceremony at Memorial Park.
