Obituary For Venus Dillion

Mr. Venus Shumake Dillion, 59, of Louisville, KY died on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

Mr. Dillon was a native of Horse Cave, KY and the son of the late Vincent & Anna Hall Dillion. He was a member of Horse Cave Baptist Church and a truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Vanessa Farrell.

Survivors include his wife, Marcella Dillion of Louisville, KY; two daughters, Chatia Frazier of Louisville, KY and Sharaye Woods of New Albany, IN; two sisters, Vinceana Black of Columbus, OH and Marilyn Howard of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Percell & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Roderick Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Horse Cave Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 am also on Saturday, April 17th at Percell & Sons Funeral Home.

I am so saddened at the loss of my uncle. Growing up, you were the fun uncle and you were the one that gave me my first ever record I owned (Kid N Play 2Hype). I remember you used to tease me but it was always all in fun. I am missing you and mama but ain't am happy that you two are together again along with gramma. You three are greatly missed. I am so glad that you were always there for us all no matter what. Until we meet again, Unc.

Just never thought I would be saying good bye to you and my Aunt Vanessa so close together. Uncle Venus you brought so much laughter and memories to my life I remember one year we came down for Derby and you gave me my first beer I had to be no more than 8 an was being nosey so you told me go ahead take a sip. Let's just say mom was hot cause I was walking around acting silly, I love you and will miss you so much
