MR. JOSEPH LEE LAMBERT, affectionately called “Bo,” was born September 23, 1955 in Mecklenburg County, VA to the late Jonah Boyd Lambert and the late Rosa Anna Howard Lambert. He departed this life April 13, 2021 in MCV Hospital, Richmond, VA. He was preceded in death by five siblings- Jonah Jr., Ernest, Lewis, and David Lambert, and Harriet Allen. At an early age he was baptized and joined Penuel RZUA Church. He attended Park View Senior High School. “Bo” was employed by Harriett Henderson in Henderson, NC for many years until he started employment with Glen Raven Textiles in Norlina, NC until his retirement. Joseph was married to Lucy Seward on November 27, 1982 and they were blessed with two children. In his spare time he loved to fix things and was often called upon to do so by his siblings. He was known to them as the plumber, electrician, the grass cutter, and simply...Mr. Fix It. He would come when called and showed up before you even got out of bed. “Bo” leaves to cherish his memory are: his wife, Lucy Mae Lambert of the home; daughter- Jennifer Seward, Long Island, NY; step-son, Keith Barnes, Fayetteville, NC; seven sisters- Rosa (Ernest) Allen, Henderson, NC; Helen (Charles) Haskins, Mary Hunt, Alice (Johnny) Thorne, all of Boydton, VA; Barbara Banks and Catherine (Roy) Carter, all of Soul City, NC, and Doretha (Larry) Townes, Boydton, VA; two sisters-in-law, Marie Lambert, Bracey, VA and Mary Jane Lambert, Henderson, NC; one uncle- Clarence Howard, Philadelphia, PA; devoted co-worker, Waverly Russell, Warrenton, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
