Obituary For Latricia Voncile Oxendine

Latricia V. Oxendine was born to Sarah Jeanette Britton, February 3, 1954 in St. Augustine, FL. Latricia Oxendine’s love of life did not come to an end with her death. She was a caring mother, grandmother, and friend. Latricia passed away peacefully on April 15, 2021 at the age of 67 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her Sons, who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Her beautiful smile was cheerful, and her laughter was infectious. She will always be known as a woman who was a kind, genuine, and compassionate spirit. She was a woman of Integrity, commitment, and passion. She loved the simple things in life and who always enjoyed spending time with her precious family. She always found beauty in everything she did. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. Her pleasant personality was always welcoming and contagious to everyone she met. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be socializing, dancing, gardening and reading to her heart’s content. Where Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. She taught us self-respect, work ethic, and how to be strong independent men. Our mother will always be in our hearts and mind. Latricia is survived by her three Sons, who made up the entirety of her world Harold (Constance) , Randall ( Susan) , and Ortagus (Stephanie) and all of her beautiful grandchildren.

The Oxendine family will receive friends and the community from 5-6 p.m., on Friday, April 23, 2021 at New Mt. Moriah Christian Center, St. Augustine. A homegoing celebration will be held graveside at 2 p.m., on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Evergreen Cemetery, 505 N. Rodriquez Street, St. Augustine.
