Wanda Marie Walker Reardon went to be with the Lord on the afternoon of Thursday, April 15, 2021. She was born April 6, 1960 to the late Faith A. Smith (Warner) and Frank Wesley Walker, Sr. in Danville, KY. She attended Danville High School and later went on to work at Friendship Nursing Home, American Greetings, and Modine Manufacturing.

She was the loving mother of Marcus Walker (Stephanie) and Maurice Walker (Jennie), both of Danville, KY. Wanda married Lemaul Carroll Reardon, Jr. in 1993. Together they raised two daughters, Tosha Bryant and Mitzi Wardle and a grandson, Devon West.

Always giving of herself, Wanda regularly hosted her family and friends for celebrations, summer BBQs, and holidays. She was especially attentive to her grandchildren with whom she spent a great deal of time. Everyone was welcome in her home and they always left having felt her warm affection and generous spirit. Wanda grew up in the house of God and loved the Lord; her life was a ministry. She constantly went out of her way to help everyone, and even strangers in our community and beyond knew her care and kindness. Her dedication to guiding and counseling young people was especially known at Redemption Road Christian Academy in Junction City where Wanda was responsible for Christian education of students.

At Redemption Road and other churches in the area, Wanda was known as a remarkably talented and creative woman who produced musicals and other powerful performances, which she scripted, directed, and also designed the lighting, costumes, and sets. Her gifts also included decorating and wedding and event planning.

In addition to her two sons, she leaves behind an army of siblings: Frank X Walker (Shauna) of Lexington, KY; Debra Walker of Richmond, KY; Beverly Whitehead of Danville, KY; Brenda Foye of Lexington, KY; Cecil Smith of Danville, KY; Karla Zeleznik (John) of Lexington, KY; Sonya Smith of Lexington, KY; Doug Walker (Ruby), Yanna Walker, and David Walker of Danville, KY; loving grandchildren: Izabella, Aalayah, Dre, Alyvia, Nicholas, Sam, Mia, Devon, Nevaeh, Jacob, and Abby to cherish her memory; a host of nephews and nieces: Nikki (Adam), D’Van, Ella, Neena, Kumasi, Chris (Amanda), Faith, Fanchon, Branon, Keesha, Jerome (Ashley), Justin, Samantha, Forrest, Brittany (Ben), Tommy, Darren (Ashley), Michael, Ty, TaShaunda, David, Nilah, Joel (Ashley), and Cruz.
