Obituary For Latoya Barnes

Miss Latoya Sharese Barnes, 40, of Hazelhurst, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021 in Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi.

She is the daughter of Mr. Levester Rhodes and Mrs. Greta Weary. She was a member of Green Grove Baptist Church.

Miss Barnes was a laborer at D. G. Poultry Plant in Hazelhurst, Mississippi. She loved singing, dancing and spending time with family and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Prentiss First Missionary Baptist Church at 2pm. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

She is survived by: mother, Greta (Carl) Weary of Tylertown, MS; father, Levester Rhodes of Mendenhall, MS; maternal grandmother, Betty Barnes of Hattiesburg, MS; paternal grandmother, Wyvonne Oatis of Prentiss, MS; paternal grandfather, Sylvester Adams of Chicago, IL; brothers, Ladarius Tillman of Mendenhall, MS; Kendrick Barnes of Prentiss, MS; and Charles Crumby of Hattiesburg, MS; Rontavius Logan of Tylertown, MS; sister, Malaka Bass of Collins, MS.

Visitation will be Friday, April 23, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home, 1-6pm.
