Blessings and peace be unto the Phillips Family. My heart goes out to you all and I send my warmest regards during your time of bereavement. Unfortunately, I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Phillips, but I am a co-worker of one of her seeds,Chandris. Whom she loved very deeply, her "Glam Ma". I know she will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Continue to live in out her Legacy planting the seeds of love, happiness, joy, and those good cakes you all talked about. You will soon see her again on the other side. It was Glam Ma time to go home to be with the Lord and God is giving us a chance to give it right to meet her in the Kingdom. She is resting in glory, Mrs. Philips. ✝️😇✝️ Shalom

Sending heartfelt sympathy in friendship and love from John and Susan Gibson Carter. What fond memories of Mrs. Mamie Lou Phillips, a loving, kind, caring, and always on-point lady. When I graduated from high school and shared with her I was going away to college, she bought me a set of luggage. I had a footlocker but that wasn't good enough for her. She insisted that I needed a set of Samsonite luggage! Keep the memories alive by talking about this awesome lady. God be with you all as you lay her to rest.

What a loving and kind person Mamie was to all she encountered. I will never forget how much she did for me growing up on Liberty Street. She insisted on purchasing a set of luggage for me so that I Would be in style when going off to college IN 1966. Just a jewel of a person. Please know that my heart is filled with loving memories...thinking of her children as they lay her to rest. May God's peace be with you all. Susan Gibson Carter

Her love, wisdom and laughter will always be a part of our best memories. Mamie taught everyone she touched what family means, how we should be willing to forgive and to share whatever you can with those in need. Her legacy should be an example for generations to follow for eternity. Thank you Mamie for ALL THE LOVE.....The Essex Family

I cannot remember the time in my life before I knew 'Mrs. Mamie Lou'(and Mr. LeRoy) as two of the best friends of my parents- Thomas & Jimmie Mae Watson. I spent many nights of fun in the household @ 146 Liberty St.... always leaving there after a night of fun.... even when Denise & I had to lock the door to keep 'Junior', Billy @ Tim out of the room while we played board games. 'Mrs Mamie' was the best when entertaining and always made sure that you felt welcome and full of her delicious cooking. To Denise, Leroy, Regina, Billy and the rest of the family- May GOD bless you and comfort your hearts as you say goodbye to your beloved mamma and grandmama. I love all of y'all! Linda (Watson) Jackson

My heart is broken, but I know for sure you are in a better place. You were the sweetest, kindest person. You made me cakes all the time no matter when I asked for them and I'm forever grateful to you for loving me and always treating me like one of your grandchildren. I was at your house more than mine growing up. Thanks for everything. I will hold on to memories Love Tamara
